FAQ

1

Is the festival accessible?

Yes. We can accommodate patrons with accessibility issues. There is a sidewalk entrance to the building on Daly Ave. and an elevator to take you to the theatre. Please feel free to contact us in advance if you need our assistance with your special needs.

2

Will there be food? Will you be selling alcohol?

In previous years we have sold treats, food, and alcohol. We plan on being licensed to sell alcohol and wine before and after all screenings, with the exception of any children's movie screenings. Enjoy yourself, but please drink responsibly.

I'm travelling to attend - do you recommend places to stay?

3

Please stay tuned for our recommendations!

4

Where can I buy tickets?

You can purchase tickets online by clicking the Tickets tab or through links provided under our Program tab.

5

What is the capacity of the theatre?

We can accommodate 130 patrons per screening. If you plan to attend the festival, we recommend purchasing your tickets in advance or arriving early prior to the desired screening. We will have a reception area where you can socialize and purchase food and drink before and after each film.

What about parking?

While there is no on-site parking, there is plenty of paid parking across the street from the Arts Court at the Novotel Hotel, as well as at the Rideau Centre. There is also street parking on Nicholas St. and on Daly Ave. east of Cumberland -- just make sure to read the City of Ottawa signs carefully.

Plus, all major bus routes come through nearby Mackenzie King Bridge and Rideau St. -- both of which are less than a 5-minute walk from the venue. If you have any further questions, please click the Contact tab and send us a message.

Are there opportunities to volunteer at the Festival?

Absolutely! There's a lot that goes on behind the scenes, so volunteers are needed not only during the Festival, but throughout the year! Please send us an email via our Contact page to let us know that you're interested and we will get in touch.
